I can work around this by letterboxing the picture. The Warcraft 3 update that hit the PTR in February (and yes, there's a Warcraft 3 PTR) is now fully live. Unfortunately, even with patch 1.27.x, the picture is stretched. I had previously achieved this by modified the registry entries 'reswidth' and 'resheight'. (To resume playing on live servers, simply select your regular gateway and you will be reverted to the retail version of the game.)
